SAREPTA THERAPEUTICS
Sarepta Therapeutics is a pioneer in gene therapy for people with rare diseases, including muscular dystrophy. They were the first to develop and get FDA approval for treatment, and their scientific discoveries have been revolutionary. We were asked to help develop a website to tell their story. They deserved more, and so we developed a new brand identity, new voice for sharing their achievements and an interactive pipeline so that patients, future employees and collaborators could easily follow Sarepta’s progress. As their chairman often said, “The competition isn’t the enemy. The disease is.” We wanted this work to live up to that inspirational statement.

Sarepta’s interactive pipeline is both responsive and coded to be saved or printed as a traditional bar chart. From left: pipeline sub navigation page; filter by disease or modality; expanded disease menu; therapies listed by stage of development. The target graph changes to reflect the number of therapies and developmental stages based on the search query. Additional content and clinical study data are accessible under each therapy. The pipeline is a powerful tool that makes finding relevant information simple for both patients and physicians.
The campaign included both digital and traditional work, adhering to a very tight design aesthetic to help quickly establish and differentiate Sarepta from other biotechnology companies working in the field of gene therapy.
The motion graphic treatment used on digital assets envelopes the individual with light and hope using a representation of gel electrophoresis.
