I find the most interesting work at the intersection of creative strategy and creative direction. Because I’ve always been compelled by art with a purpose. As a creative director, I view success as understanding the role of a brand in people’s lives, and communicating that role with craft.
I have the opportunity to put my ideas into practice as an Executive Creative Director at Havas Health Plus. I lead a team of brilliant and creative collaborators who are deeply motivated by the purpose of the brands we serve in healthcare. Our work is varied and unique, supporting both large, established pharma clients as well as entrepreneurial disrupters changing the future of medicine. Prior to joining HH+, I was a Group Creative Director at TBWA\Chiat\Day, after serving as Global Creative Lead at J. Walter Thompson on the Johnson & Johnson allergy portfolio and Visine eye care brands, as well as the U.S. creative lead for Sudafed, Pepcid and others.
Along the way, Mashable singled out Zyrtec for “harnessing the magic of online.” Scientific American called #IWillListen for the National Alliance on Mental Illness “especially effective at reducing stigma.” Google and Facebook use our Johnson & Johnson and Repatha content as examples of best practices for OTC and Pharma brands. Nielsen reported that Zyrtec had the most memorable advertising in the category, despite 4th share of voice.
My team’s work has been recognized at Cannes, One Show, Clio, Webby, Effie, Jay Chiat, and many more.
Outside of work, my passions include hiking with my family and photographing birds, especially in the beautiful Berkshire Mountains of Western Massachusetts. You can check out my bird photos on Instagram @howardlennphotography.
